Position-3 : ECCD Teacher

Key Responsibilities

To develop session plan as well as innovative implementation strategies of Pre- school sessions in consultation with Education Coordinator/Program Manager

To carry out Pre- school sessions for sponsored children/volunteers regularly as per the syllabus/module.

To regularly update the registers and maintain the assets (books, magazines etc.) at ECCD centre.

To regularly update/progress to SAC coordinator/Education Coordinator on progress in learning outcomes of sponsored children.

To ensure the attendance of children, prepare for events, use the curriculum—defining the key message and the activities, and gather or prepare materials for the sessions.

To conduct meetings with parents and home visits of children particularly who are irregular or drop out from the program. 

To coordinate with the Angan Wadi Centres (AWCs) in the area to ensure that the children enrolled in the CHILDREN’s ECCD program are able to draw the benefits from the AWCs as per their entitlements.

To submit MIS/ monthly report to SAC Coordinator.

Any other task that may be assigned by the Supervisor as per the need of the organization and its programs.

Desired Qualification, skills and experience

Graduate degree (preferably in education/social sciences/equivalent)

Knowledge about  education in general and language development/ literacy in particular

Teaching experience at primary level with a child centric approach preferred

Previous experience of working with children for at least 1 year (Desirable)

Strong written and oral communication skills (English and Hindi)

Good interpersonal skills so that they could plan and conduct community sessions, meetings

Have a solution oriented approach

Work well independently as well as part of a team

Well versed in MS Office and Internet so that progress reports can be prepared and sent online.

Remuneration Offered : Rs. 12000/- per month (commensurate with educational qualification and experience).
